On arrival at Pisa or Florence Airport our friendly team will be in place to pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. On arrival you will have time to unpack, relax and tweak bikes (with the support of our staff) before heading out on a customary spin around the local area to test legs, bikes and the white road! Dinner will be served in nearby ristorante. The Chef and his team are in the kitchen using locally produced ingredients in time honoured tradition that involves more than a little passion.

This morning we will enjoy a beautiful ride through the very heart of the world famous Chianti hills. Picture perfect riding along a combination of tarmac and white roads. Along the way we will stop in at the Strade Bianche expo to collect registrations for the GF as well give you a chance to wander around and enjoy all that is on offer. On arrival back at the hotel there will be time to join us for wine tasting and a tour followed by dinner.

Spend an unforgettable day immersed in the excitement of the Strade Bianche professional race. Begin with a delightful breakfast overlooking the rolling Tuscan hills, then take a short transfer to the exclusive Hospitality Area Terrazza le Tolfe. From this prime location, you’ll witness the race pass by three times—once for the women’s race and twice for the men’s. Enjoy traditional Tuscan cuisine made with local ingredients, follow the key moments of the race on well-placed screens, and revel in the privileged vantage point that puts you at the heart of the action. Dinner is served in a local restaurant, prepared specifically with tomorrow’s Gran Fondo in mind.

Our mechanics will be on hand to make sure bikes are perfectly tuned and ready to roll. The short ride to the start line is a great way to warm up before taking your place in the starting grid. As ever, our staff will be dotted around the route with drinks and nutrition. They are there to offer support, a push and if needed a motivational speech. They will also meet you on the finish line, taking care of your bike while you enjoy the pasta party and festivities that are the finish of the Strade Bianchi Gran Fondo.

This morning we offer you a truly unique and very Italy Bike Tours experience. Staff will be up early to prepare the bikes for what is our sunrise ride. A loop that allows you to maximise your time in Italy as well as the truly wonderful experience of watching the sun slowly rise across the Tuscan landscape. With plenty of time to shower, pack and check out, staff will be on hand to transfer you to your next destination.

| Where to Meet |
Please arrange to meet us at Florence Airport (FLR) between 12:00 and 14:00 or agreed meeting location on day 1. In the days leading up to the tour your Tour Manager will contact you via WhatsApp to confirm the name of staff meeting you. Alternative transfers can be arranged but may incur a cost. |

Following the conclusion of the tour we will assist you with planning and booking of onward travel. We will run one transfer to Florence Airport (FLR) leaving in the late morning after our sunrise ride. |
| Transfer Time |
Please consider eating lunch before we collect you from Florence Airport (FLR). The transfer time from Florence to Siena is 1 hour 10 minutes. We may stop for a fresh coffee along the way. Transfer time from the hotel to Siena is 20 minutes (18km). |
| Riding in Tuscany |
The riding in Tuscany is never flat. The rolling roads are a mix of 'strade bianche' and tarmac. Guests are advised to inform staff if this is your first time riding in Tuscany as they will be able to offer some advice on best way to 'ride' the white roads. |
| Cuisine |
The food is outstanding in Tuscany. The region is famed for pasta and soups. Restaurants now cater for both vegan and vegetarians. Please advise us if you have any special dietary requirements before the tour on the questionnaire. Homemade local wines and beer a must to try. |
| Hotel Facilities |
La Bagnaia is a beautiful golf hotel set in the Tuscan hills. Please consider bringing your swimming costumes (the outdoor pool maybe open). The hotel has bar service a restaurant and good wifi. There is also the opportunity to play golf or horse riding (these services incur an additional fee). |
| Private Tours & Groups |
You may wish to make our Strade Bianche package part of a longer cycling trip. We therefore welcome the opportunity to discuss with you a private tour should you be in a group of more than four people. The private tour allows you to choose dates and personalise the itinerary according to your requirements. |
| Weather |
In March, Tuscany enjoys mild weather as spring begins to bloom. Daytime temperatures range from 12–16°C (54–61°F), while evenings are cooler, around 4–8°C (39–46°F). Expect a mix of sunny days and occasional rain showers, with the countryside coming alive with fresh greenery and blossoms. |
