Maggie Pure Provence | 2026
★★★★★

Pure Provence was a wonderful way to experience this part of France by bike. What I appreciated most were the quiet roads, which made every ride feel relaxed and gave us the chance to really take in the scenery and atmosphere of Provence. The staff were fantastic throughout the trip – attentive, friendly and always there when we needed them. I also loved the choice of charming, typical local hotels, which made the experience feel authentic and allowed us to enjoy Provence both on and off the bike.

Raphael Alps & Dolomites | July 2026
★★★★★

I had an amazing experience with Italy Bike Tour! Everything was exceptionally well organized from start to finish, making the entire trip completely stress-free. A special thank you to Pavel, who was an outstanding guide. He was knowledgeable, patient, professional, and always made sure everyone had a great experience on and off the bike. The entire team was incredibly friendly, supportive, and passionate about cycling. Riding through the Dolomites was unforgettable, and the excellent organization allowed us to focus on enjoying every climb, descent, and breathtaking view. I highly recommend Italy Bike Tour to anyone looking for a world-class cycling experience in Italy. I’ll definitely be back!

Janette Pedaling In Puglia | June 2026
★★★★★

Our Puglia tour in June with IBT was excellent. The timely and informative pretour correspondence from the team gave us confidence and we were rewarded with a great support driver Simone and bike guide Matteo. The central locations of Conversano and Matera allowed us to enjoy the historical towns, festivals and local culture as well as great riding, without moving each day. There was flexibility, stopping for photos and one day we opted for a shorter day and more sightseeing. We had some surprise inclusions which were wonderful. We made great friends with Simone and Matteo, and they coped with our Aussie humour! "VOLARE" "Chuck a U-ey"

We are very happy to have found a company that values its employees. We were treated like family, and that is extremely important. The boys are extremely polite and attentive. At all times, they prioritized our safety and comfort, which is of utmost importance. These were days of accomplishments, thanks to the choice of tours and the guarantee of success. It was truly worth the time and money invested. Boys, we love you!!!! Jack and Simone are fully qualified for the position.

Mark Giro D'Italia Last 12 | May 2026
★★★★★

The 12 Day Giro Trip was unforgettable!! Full immersion into Italian 🇮🇹 culture! The people, the places, the food, the coffee stops, and the cycling - stupendous! Behind the name “Italian Bike Tours” are a group of people (guides, mechanics, and owners) who really do care about your experience. IBT has captured the concept of “hospitality” and my wife and I had an absolute “ball” on our Giro d’Italia adventure!

Greg Giro D'Italia Second Week | May 2026
★★★★★

Had an incredible experience during the second week of the Giro d’Italia. Every day brought a unique and unforgettable experience, with the final VIP day, it truly took it to another level. Fausto and the entire IBT team Lorenzo, Marco, Giacomo and Anita made this a trip to remember. Their passion, organization, and hospitality were outstanding from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the Giro in a special way.

Italy Bike Tours – Pure Provence Itinerary

Day
by day.

Slow down, breathe it in and follow the rhythm of vineyards, lavender fields and quiet Provençal roads.

After meeting you at Avignon TGV station, we’ll head straight to our first hotel to settle in and complete your bike fit.

Then it’s time for a relaxed welcome ride - the perfect chance to test the bikes, stretch the legs and ease into Provence. No pressure, just quiet roads, beautiful scenery and the first taste of what’s ahead.

We’ll finish the day with dinner at a local restaurant and raise a glass to the start of the adventure.

Hotel La Sommellerie | Châteauneuf-du-pape

After breakfast, we set off on a gentle ride through vineyards, riverside lanes and charming villages including Sorgues, Courthézon and Jonquières.

Highlights include the green surroundings of Île de l’Oiselay, quiet roads along the Ouvèze and sections close to the Via Venaissia, a former railway transformed into a cycle route.

We’ll pause at a local boulangerie for a light Provençal lunch before riding back towards Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

In the afternoon, we slow things down with a local wine tasting, followed by a relaxed dinner to round off the day.

Hotel La Sommellerie | Châteauneuf-du-pape

Today we ride into the heart of the Luberon, climbing quiet Provençal roads towards spectacular Gordes, with sweeping views across vineyards and olive groves.

We continue to Roussillon, one of France’s most beautiful villages, where the landscape changes dramatically to its famous red and golden ochre cliffs.

A relaxed lunch breaks up the ride before we tackle the final scenic climbs through increasingly wild countryside towards Sault.

A rewarding point-to-point ride of around 59 km and 1,170 m of climbing, finishing on the high Provençal plateau before a well-earned local dinner.

Hotel Le Nesk| Sault

After breakfast, we leave Sault and ride through the spectacular Gorges de la Nesque, one of Provence’s most dramatic cycling roads, carved into the cliffs above the canyon.

The route winds through rock tunnels and panoramic viewpoints, including the famous Belvédère du Castelleras overlooking the Rocher du Cire.

We’ll pause along the way for a local lunch before continuing through beautiful Provençal countryside towards Bédoin, at the foot of Mont Ventoux.

We finish beneath the shadow of Mont Ventoux, with time to relax before enjoying a Nougat tasting in Sault and another well-earned Provençal dinner.

Hotel Le Nesk| Sault

It’s time for the highlight of the tour: the legendary Mont Ventoux, climbing from Sault through forests and open Provençal landscapes.

The road builds gradually before reaching Chalet Reynard, where the scenery transforms into Ventoux’s iconic white, lunar-like summit landscape.

After reaching the top, we enjoy the long descent back towards Sault and a well-earned light lunch after approximately 51 km and 1,250 m of climbing.

The evening is all about celebrating - a final local dinner and a toast to an unforgettable week in Provence.
