Giro di Lombardia is the final monument on the cycling calendar for the pros and we are delighted to once again be offering clients our fantastic package to both enjoy the pro-race as well as challenge themselves in the GF Lombardia.
A true challenge for the serious cyclist who has spent the summer enjoying the rides, but also training towards goals, the Gran Fondo Il Lombardia can be the end of season target!
With close proximity to Milan Bergamo airport with regular flights it is little wonder that Giro di Lombardia has become the must see race during the final months of the racing year.

You will be met by one of our friendly team at Milan Bergamo airport before being transferred the short distance to your hotel. On arrival our staff will be on hand to support those who have brought their own bikes and also conduct the bike fit for those who are hiring bikes.
As you cycle away from Bergamo, the route will quickly immerse you in the lush landscapes of Valle Brembana. You will be surrounded by rolling hills, charming villages, and the sounds of nature. A perfect warm-up to ease into the weekend.
Dinner will served in Bergamo città alta, the historical upper town of Bergamo, is a captivating blend of medieval charm and stunning architecture. Surrounded by ancient Venetian walls, this picturesque hilltop area features cobbled streets, elegant piazzas, and breath-taking views of the surrounding landscape

Today’s route is where the proper riding starts! After breakfast we head out on a loop ride to climb the iconic Selvino, promising an unforgettable experience for cycling enthusiasts. The journey begins with picturesque views of Bergamo’s medieval architecture before heading into the serene countryside. As you approach Selvino, the challenging ascent sets in, with its well-known 19 hairpin turns testing your endurance. Reaching the summit, you’re rewarded with breath-taking vistas of the lush, rolling hills below. The exhilarating descent back into Bergamo provides a thrilling end to a day of both physical challenge and stunning natural beauty.

The World Tour riders take to the stage of the Giro di Lombardia today and you’re going to be there to see them! Leaving the hotel we are setting off North-west to Lecco and along the edge of Lake Como to Bellagio, then it’s up up up, weaving through the exhilarating Ghisallo climb. The first 4km of the climb is tough. As the road narrows and the gradient steepens, the anticipation builds, especially knowing a pro race is due to pass. Reaching the summit, the sight of the Madonna del Ghisallo and the gathering crowd heightens the sense of achievement. Witnessing professional cyclists surge past the historic site caps off an inspiring day surrounded by the beauty and spirit of the sport.
A mid-stage road stage viewing on Ghisallo is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the Tifosi and experience the speed and suffering of the riders first hand.
Those who have taken the VIP option will head to the Finish Line Hospitality.
Back to the hotel by van, and after a early dinner it’s time to go to bed and rest for tomorrow’s Gran Fondo.

The day has arrived for all your training and hard work over the summer to come to the fore! Our mechanics will be on hand to make sure bikes are perfectly tuned and ready to roll. The short ride to the start line is a great way to warm-up before taking your place in the starting grid. As ever our staff will be dotted around the route with drinks and nutrition. They are there to offer support, a push and if needed a motivational speech. They will also meet you on the finish line, taking care of your bike while you enjoy the pasta party and festivities that are at the finish of the Il Lombardia Gran Fondo.
