Stages of your Tour

  1. Welcome to Italy

    26 km | 20 m Elevation

On arrival at the airport you will be met by one of our friendly staff and transferred to our amazing hotel in Milano Marittima, the luxury beach resort on the coast of beautiful Emilia-Romagna. The 5 star Palace Hotel, situated next to seafront, is the perfect place to ride from, relax and unwind after long travel. For those hiring bikes, we will do a bike fit and make any adjustments that maybe necessary. Fitting pedals, lights, saddles etc is our work and not yours! Before dinner we will all meet for a welcome cocktail with our staff, and introduce you to the exquisite Romagnolo sparkling wines. Dinner will be in the beautiful setting of the hotel, where we will sample some of the Emilia-Romagna specialties.

  2. Valli di Comacchio loop

    58 km | 50 m elevation

The day begins with a short van transfer from Milano Marittima to the stunning Comacchio Valleys, where one of Italy’s most spectacular cycling paths awaits. Pedal along trails truly immersed in the sea, and if you’re lucky, you might find yourself cycling among flamingos in their natural habitat.

We’ll stop for a typical lunch along one of the charming canals, savoring the local flavors of this unique lagoon area. After returning to the hotel, the evening will be topped off with a shared dinner by the sea at one of the finest local restaurants..

Milan Marittima - Hotel Saraceno Resort

  3. Faenza - Forlì

    48 km | 110 m elevation

Today’s ride is relatively short but offers a wonderful variety of landscapes. We’ll start directly from the hotel and pedal through Faenza, the city of ceramics, where you can admire some lovely craft shops along the way. After a few kilometres, we will be completely immersed in the peaceful magic of the Romagna hills. As we pass through the “Chalk Vein Park,” a few challenging ascents await, but the spectacular views are truly rewarding!

Our ride will continue towards our final destination, Forlì. Forlì is a charming city with a rich history: don’t miss the Piazza Aurelio Saffi, the medieval city walls, and the historic palaces scattered throughout the centre. It’s a perfect place to explore and enjoy the authentic local atmosphere before returning to the hotel to relax after a rewarding day on the bike!

  4. Cesena to VERUCCHIO

    58 kM | 530 m elevation

Before hopping on our bikes in Rimini, some important Roman remains, like the Tiberius Bridge, await to show us their splendour. Rimini is also the hometown of the famous film director Federico Fellini. After a short ride, we’ll reach Sant’Arcangelo, a stunning medieval hilltop village where time seems to stand still. The village was built on a network of mysterious tufa caves, which we’ll explore and admire.

Continuing our ride, you’ll notice that every hilltop has its own medieval village with a castle. We’ve chosen the best for you: Verucchio, a city of art and wine! In the late afternoon, we will enjoy a hands-on cooking class, discovering the secrets of Italian cuisine, with a special focus on fresh pasta. At the end of the class, we will all sit down to enjoy the dishes we have prepared together. You’ll feel as if you’re biking through a painting by Piero della Francesca.

Verrucchio - Hotel oste del Castello

  5. San Leo - Novafeltria

    61 km | 900 m elevation

Starting from Verucchio after a breakfast featuring local, km-zero products, we’ll pedal through the rolling hills of Romagna, soaking in the peaceful landscapes and charming countryside. Our route takes us to San Leo with its magnificent castle—an ideal spot for a group photo and to admire the stunning views. Continuing on, we’ll reach Novafeltria for a delicious lunch, truly capturing the essence of Italy: small villages, gentle hills, great food, and breathtaking panoramas. In the evening, we’ll enjoy dinner in San Marino, a picturesque spot in the area where you can take a stroll and marvel at the 360-degree views stretching from the sea to the Apennines.

Verrucchio - Hotel oste del Castello

  6. Val marecchia

    30 km | 190 m elevation

On the final day of our holiday, we’ll rise at dawn for a gentle ride along the beautiful and scenic Val Marecchia cycle path, just enough to stretch our legs and awaken the muscles after a week of cycling. Pedaling in the peaceful early morning light, we can enjoy the calm of the valley and take in the last glimpses of the stunning landscapes. After coming back to our hotel for a refreshing shower, breakfast and check-out, it is time to say our farewells. If you are not staying to further explore this lovely area, your guides will be happy to help you arrange your transportation to the airport or the train station - safe travels!.

What our clients say about us…

This trip could not have been better! The origination, the accommodations, the meals, the rides..all first class. The guides were all fist class as well..knowledgeable about the routes, briefed us the evening before each day’s ride as to our route and what we would be seeing/visiting, assisted with post tour travel arrangements due to a train strike. I cannot speak highly enough of this tour! Highly recommend !!
