On arrival at the airport, our friendly team will welcome you and transfer you to our hotel in Milano Marittima, perched on the stunning Emilia-Romagna coast. Right by the seafront, it’s the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and get ready for your cycling adventure.
For those hiring bikes, we’ll handle the fit and any adjustments - pedals, lights, saddles, all taken care of. Before dinner, enjoy a short welcome ride to stretch your legs.
Dinner will follow at the hotel, featuring the finest local specialties from Emilia-Romagna.

The day starts with a short van transfer from Milano Marittima to the breathtaking Comacchio Valleys, home to one of Italy’s most scenic cycling paths. Ride along trails surrounded by shimmering waters, and if you’re lucky, you may spot flamingos in their natural habitat.
We’ll pause for a traditional lunch by one of the charming canals, savoring the unique flavors of this lagoon region. After returning to the hotel, the day concludes with a shared dinner by the sea at one of the area’s finest local restaurants.

Today’s ride is relatively short but full of variety and charm. Starting from the hotel, we’ll pedal through Faenza, the city of ceramics, where craft shops and artisan studios line the streets. Soon after, we’ll enter the tranquil Romagna hills, winding through the “Chalk Vein Park” with a few gentle climbs rewarded by stunning panoramic views.
Our route continues to Forlì, a city rich in history and character. Highlights include Piazza Aurelio Saffi, the medieval walls, and elegant historic palaces. Take time to explore and soak up the authentic local atmosphere before returning to the hotel for a well-earned rest after a memorable day on the bike.

Before we ride, admire Rimini’s Roman treasures, including the Tiberius Bridge—hometown of film legend Federico Fellini. A short ride brings us to Sant’Arcangelo, a medieval hilltop village with fascinating tufa caves.
We continue to Verucchio, famed for its art and wine, where a hands-on pasta-making class lets you create and savor authentic Italian dishes - a perfect blend of cycling, history, and cuisine.

Please consider eating lunch before we collect you from the airport. The transfer time from Bologna Airport to Milano Marritima is 1h30. On the last day, transfer to Bologna Train Station is approximately 1h45. |
| Riding in Emilia Romagna |
The general road conditions in Emilia Romagna are good, mostly are quite with less traffic. The majority of roads in Emilia Romagna are tarmac but we will also be riding on some gravel roads - they are in good condition and can be enjoyed on both a road, gravel or E-Bike. |
| Cuisine |
The food as one may expect in Emilia Romagna is excellent - some might say the best in Italy, there are a lot of local specialities that you can look forward to enjoying. Restaurants now cater for both vegan and vegetarians. Homemade local wines and beer a must to try. |
| Hotel Facilities |
The hotels on this tour have a pool so we recommend bringing swimming costumes. The hotel also have good wifi and bar service. All our hotels have air conditioning. Hotels may charge extra for the use of these facilities. |

The weather in Emilia Romagna is excellent 9 months a year. It can be hot in July and August and those that prefer to ride in cooler conditions should consider joining us in April, May, September or October. Ride times maybe adjusted to take in to account extreme weather events. |
