IBT does it again! A superb trip, excellently well organised and run, a pleasure to be part of and the hospitality tent at the top of Le Tolfe was the best set in the house.
My partner and I did the Strade Bianche experience with IBT and had the time of our lives! The IBT team is the best in the business - they handled all logistics (transfer to and from airport, bike help, race day logistics, etc). Watching the pro race at the Tolfe was a particular highlight. We had multiple big screen TVs to watch the race, food all day, and then the Men’s and Women’s races both come by twice right at one of the most exciting spots. It was really the trip of a lifetime - Special thank yous to Ivan, Gaffu, and Marco for going above and beyond for us!!

Today the real riding begins! After breakfast, we set out on a stunning loop that takes you up the iconic Selvino—an ascent every cyclist should experience at least once.
The ride begins with beautiful views of Bergamo’s medieval skyline before opening into peaceful countryside roads. As the climb approaches, the famous 19 hairpin turns rise ahead, offering a steady, satisfying challenge. At the summit, sweeping views of rolling green hills reward your effort, making every pedal stroke worthwhile.
An exhilarating descent back toward Bergamo rounds off the day - a perfect blend of challenge, beauty, and pure cycling joy.

Today, the World Tour riders take on the legendary Giro di Lombardia—and you’ll be right there to witness it. After leaving the hotel, we head northwest toward Lecco and continue along the shimmering edge of Lake Como toward Bellagio. From here, it’s up, up, up as we tackle the exhilarating climb to Ghisallo.
The first 4 km are the toughest: the road narrows, the gradients bite, and excitement builds with every switchback, knowing the pros will soon storm up the same slopes. At the summit, the iconic Madonna del Ghisallo sanctuary and the gathering crowds create an electric atmosphere. Watching the peloton fly past this historic site is nothing short of unforgettable - a true celebration of cycling passion.
Guests with the VIP option will continue to the Finish Line Hospitality area for an exclusive race-day experience.
Afterward, we return to the hotel by van. A relaxed early dinner awaits, followed by a well-earned rest - tomorrow, it’s your turn to take on the Gran Fondo.

Everything you need to know before joining our Strade Bianche & Tuscany experience — from Gran Fondo entry and transfers to white-road riding, local cuisine, accommodation and practical information for your cycling weekend in Tuscany.
Following the conclusion of the tour, we will run a transfer to Florence Train Station, leaving the hotel at 10.30 am. For alternative destinations or departure times, please contact us at alberto@italybiketours.com.
The general road conditions in Tuscany are good, and most roads are quiet with light traffic. You will find both tarmac and gravel roads.
The food in Tuscany is exceptional, offering a variety of local specialties such as ribollita (hearty vegetable soup), pappa al pomodoro (tomato and bread soup), and handmade pici pasta with rich ragù. Restaurants now cater to vegan and vegetarian diets, and homemade local red wines like Brunello and Chianti are a must-try!
March in Tuscany is a time of transition, where crisp mornings slowly warm into sunny afternoons. Expect occasional showers and a gentle breeze, especially over the hills. Layered clothing is key, allowing you to enjoy the countryside comfortably as temperatures rise from cool mornings to mild, pleasant afternoons.
Please arrange to meet us at Florence Train Station (Santa Maria Novella) at 12 pm on Day 1. 24 hours before meeting we will contact you via WhatsApp to confirm the name of staff meeting you.
Please consider having something to eat before we collect you from the train station. The transfer time to our hotel is approximately 1h10 min.
The hotel also has good WiFi, bar service and air conditioning. Hotels may charge extra for the use of these facilities.
